Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the city experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
