In a bizarre partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.
The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
